The municipio of San Juan, the capital of Puerto Rico, is home to several hospitals and health centers. These medical and health institutions differ in many factors such as size, expertise, availability of facilities and services, and several other hospital features. The Medical Center of Rio Piedras, more commonly known as El Centro Medico de Rio Piedras, is the leading hospital and school in the entire city of San Juan in Puerto Rico.
